Art and Design Opportunities

Friends of the Earth Brisbane is a community based environmental organisation working toward a sustainable.

Friends of the Earth’s community campaigns provide industry opportunities to educational facilities and their students through the following creative themes.

Situation
Friends of the Earth has just launch a new campaign. It seeks to build community awareness around an environmental issue, and seeks to engage the local community around South Brisbane, Woolloongabba and surrounding suburbs. Friends of the Earth seeks creative expressions and engaging materials to release via social media, website, emails, adverts, and other means. The themes listed below are to guide interest.

Video and Audio Stories - short form
Short and sharp attention seeking video and audio for social media. Bring on the creative juices, be it comedy, dance, or micro messaging.

Video and Audio Stories - long form
Long form story telling is compelling to watch. Be it documentary style, street based vox pops interviews, its all about telling a story.

Graphic Design meme series
Targeted, catchy and creative abstract ideas are what makes meme creation so desired… yet so challenging.

Info Graphic – series
Data driven and factual information products to enable community uptake of complex information.

Graphics Design for billboards
Projected art to advertise and communicate a simple message. South Brisbane and surrounding suburb residents, and workers, will be the audience.

Street Theatre events
Physical form, sound or light spaces, be it human or things is a great way to engage people. All ideas welcome.

Production Management
Production scheduling, project management and orchestration of events is a creative talent. Groups or individuals to work with or across themes welcomed.

Support and Direction
Friends of the Earth is looking to collaborate with educators, student teams and individual students to develop collateral and outputs to enable the community campaign. The organisation also welcomes students with an interest in shaping both the overarching design and delivery management to be involved. We recognise the creative arts industry supports and needs those individuals that express their creative talents through the paint brush, but also those who expression is through the keyboard, including project management and directing. We welcome joint collaboration and self led groups and individuals.

Please consider supporting Friends of the Earth Brisbane and enable us to continue to work towards a brighter future for our planet.
