Volunteer your skills.
Join the fight!

There are numerous volunteer opportunities with FoEB. We're all volunteers, so we're all in it together, working hard for a better world. Here are some tasters as to how you can help...
  • Take part organising a protest, community gathering or direct action as a member of a campaign team
  • Help out around the office doing admin, finance and membership support as part of our Office collective
  • Spend a few hours a week doing research and campaign support as a campaign helper
  • Become an Active Member and represent FoEB at national and international conferences and policy meetings
The list goes on, and is only bounded by your own experience, skills and interests. The best way to start volunteering is to give us a call, drop by the office or send us an email and we'll get in touch for a one-on-one meeting or invite you to an introduction night.

Help we need now.

If you have any of the skills or interests below, please get in touch - the Office Collective needs your help!
- Website / PHP / CiviCRM development
- Online media (Facebook / Twitter)
- Co-ordinating and/or running stalls at markets and events
- Finance and book-keeping
- Fundraising and grant writing
- Collating and printing newsletters / enews
- Office process co-ordination

- Someone to sort out our community library!

Pathways through FoE.

Joining FoE as a volunteer is just the beginning of a journey that you can take with the organisation. When you join a campaign, you will become an ordinary member of FoEB, which then allows you to attend organisational decision-making Hub meetings. These meetings include delegates from each campaign collective and makes all decisions affecting the organisation by consensus.

Once you have attended a certain number of Hub meetings, you can apply to be an Active Member of the co-op, allowing you to nominate as a member of the Board of Directors, or in FoE's case, our aptly named Interested Followers.

It sounds tricky, but you'll soon get the hang of the lingo. We're excited to welcome you into the Friends of the Earth community.

I'm interested in volunteering...
