Once again a great nights sleep in a bed, thanks John and Terese,  our walk started a little late 5am, its hard to get away when you are with such great people.  As the morning wore on Potts shin splints became unbearable so we sat down (in the shade of course) and discussed the options. I had felt for a few days that rest was the only solution and today Potts came to the same conclusion.

Potts would hitch into Taroom with Bindi and stay in the caravan park and I would continue on my own. I was quite confident that I would be ok that it was the right thing to do. We had only just finished the conversation when a car stopped to see if all was ok.  The young man was heading into Wondoan so was unable to take Potts but even before he got back into his car another car pulled, but he also was going the wrong way. But assured us many cars would come along.  A few mins later he returned and he graciously drove Potts into Taroom and spent time showing Potts around Taroom. I continued on until 10 am but it was extremely hot so I set up under some trees till 5pm.It was still very hot but at least I wasnt’walking. Liz who is arranging everything for us in Banana stopped by with cold grapes, she was taking her 90 yr old mother to Dalby. Her mother looked as fit as me and not a day older.  It is dark here in the caravan park I can’t see the computer keys so must sign off.
